Having just finished taking my first test in my Logic class, I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of it. I scored a 95 and breathed a sigh of relief.

I had a great talk with my brother today. He lives in Alabama and is a budding photographer. We talked about photography and he suggested I set up a Flickr account to showcase my photographs and get feedback.

So I did.

New Hobby: Photography

I’m taking a Digital Photography class this semester (to fulfill a fine arts credit) and I absolutely love it! We are learning all about how to take better pictures by learning about lighting, composition, and we’ll even learn some Photoshop tips to improve our pictures.

I think next to reading and crochet this will become a new favorite hobby.

I’ve posted below a few of the pictures that I’ve taken for class. I hope you enjoy!

Logic is confusing.

I’m about half way in to chapter one of my Intro to Logic textbook and I realize I’ve read and reread every sentence so far.

I didn’t realize Logic would not be…logical! Let’s hope things get a little better.

Welcome 2012

Okay, so the title is a little cliche… But it works!

Three days into 2012 and I said that I really needed to get back to blogging. I’ve had my time off to consider whether or not I want to continue with it and what direction I want to take it in. And here’s what I’ve figured out:

1. Yes I want to continue blogging. It’s fun, it’s a great way to network and share ideas about the paralegal and legal profession.

2. I’m still not sure what direction I will take it in. The most obvious being that I’m considering law school and all the fun that comes with that. But that too seems sooo cliche…

So for now I’m going to go with the flow. No need to stress out over what to write about; this is supposed to be fun!

Since my last post, I finished the semester, applied for graduation, celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas and registered for my last three classes for the Spring semester.

Yep, I’m graduating in May with my bachelor’s degree. Can I just say, OMG?!? I can’t believe it’s finally here! It seems like it was forever ago that I was just starting my upper level courses and now… BOOM! It’s time to graduate. Time flies when you’re having fun!

I’ve still got my business. I ended the new year on a high note and consider my business to be a success. Even hubby was impressed at how well things turned out.

Let’s see…. hmmm…… besides those two things, not much else has changed.

I plan on getting more involved with the paralegal organizations and broaden my network. You can never have too many people to call on when you are confronted with something unfamiliar. Plus it’s good to swap ideas, tips, tricks, and suggestions with those who know what you face on a day to day basis.

So for those of you who have ridden this roller coaster with me I encourage you to keep coming back and checking in with me. For those of you new to my site, I welcome you and hope that you too will come back and check out how the year progresses.

I gave blood today!

The local Family Law Bar Association was holding a blood drive at the Family Law Courthouse. I had always been told that I couldn’t give blood because of my rolling veins, but they got me today!
